Fabric
is, in my opinion, the most
difficult apparatus because the technique has to be very precise, but
mainly because there is no resting positions. On every other
apparatus, for example, a trapeze, in between tricks, you can rest on
the
bar or even in a comfortable trick. But in fabric, you cannot easily
rest in one position because as you will see in the following pictures,
the fabric is either wrapped around you very tightly, so that you are
safe, or you are upside down. When you are up in a fabric, your abs, or
core as we call it, are always engaged in order to not fall, keep the
fabric from swinging, and so that you can move through positions
smoothly. As its name suggests, the core muscles are the center of
strength in all aerial apparatus'. The fabric is also very demanding of
the arms. However, fabric is widely acknowledged as the most beautiful
apparatus by audiences especially. I hope the
following pictures
illustrate this and I hope you enjoy them!
